Nahomie Farina brings over two decades of public-sector leadership and governance experience to ROA. She currently serves as the Human Resource Manager of the Police Force in Suriname, where she is responsible for over 2,500 employees and oversees policy, organizational management, personnel, finance, and operations.
Nahomie holds a Master of Public Administration in Governance from Erasmus University Rotterdam, a Bachelor’s degree in Police Science from the Suriname Police Academy, and a Bachelor of Science in Public Administration from the Anton de Kom University of Suriname. Her career spans operational management, internal control, corporate services, and progressively senior police command roles, including district and regional command positions throughout Suriname.
Alongside her command responsibilities, Nahomie is an active educator, lecturing at the Suriname Police Academy, the Security and Assistance Service Suriname, and the Centre for Democracy and Governance (CDR). She also serves as a Local Officer with the Salvation Army Suriname and develops training programs and curricula across multiple institutions.
Nahomie’s expertise in change management, personnel development, and strategic governance, combined with her fluency in Dutch, English, Sranantongo, and French, makes her a valuable contributor to ROA’s mission of advancing organizational development and leadership capacity.
